Service Delivery Policy

Last updated: Aug 2026 · Applies to Helpora Pvt. Ltd. and the Helpora platform.

Helpora Pvt. Ltd. operates a technology platform that connects neighbours for everyday tasks. We act as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Helpers are independent individuals who use the platform, and are not employees or agents of Helpora. This document applies to your use of the Helpora website and app, is governed by the laws of India, and the English version prevails wherever it is translated.

Helpora Pvt. Ltd. ("Helpora", "we", "us", "our"), which operates the Helpora platform, enables the purchase of services, not physical goods. This policy explains what is bought, how it is delivered and how completion is confirmed. It replaces a shipping policy, because nothing is shipped.

1. What is being purchased

When you post a task on Helpora, you are arranging for a specific piece of help from an independent neighbour (for example a grocery pickup, a small repair, an errand, tutoring, pet care or cleaning), described by you and performed in person.

The service is performed by the helper, who is an independent neighbour and not an employee or agent of Helpora Pvt. Ltd. Helpora provides the platform, verification, task records and dispute review.

2. No physical goods are shipped

Helpora Pvt. Ltd. does not sell, stock, dispatch or ship any physical product. Where a task involves buying something on your behalf (groceries or medicines, for instance), the goods are purchased locally by the helper and handed to you in person; the cost of those goods is settled as described in the task, with the arrangement recorded in the task.

3. How acceptance and completion work

  • Acceptance: your task is shown to verified neighbours near the location you set, and stays open until one of them accepts it.
  • Arrival: helpers are usually within a short walk or ride, and you can follow their approach on a map once they have accepted.
  • Completion: how long the work takes depends on the task you describe. Agree the scope and timing with your helper in the in-app chat before work begins.
  • Scheduled and repeating tasks are delivered at the date and time you set.

Helpora does not promise a response, arrival or completion time. Acceptance depends entirely on which verified neighbours are free near you at that moment. If nobody accepts, the task expires and you are refunded in full. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. Where we deliver

Helpora currently operates in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, and only within India. Tasks are shown to helpers close to the location you set, usually within a short walk or ride.

If Helpora is not yet live in your area, you will not be able to post a task there. We add new neighbourhoods as helper coverage builds up.

5. How the service is delivered

  1. You post the task, set the location on the map and pay. The amount is held, not released.
  2. A verified neighbour accepts and travels to the location you set.
  3. You can follow their approach on a map and coordinate in the in-app chat.
  4. At your door, you give them your one-time arrival code. Work cannot begin without it.
  5. The service is performed in person at the location you specified.

6. How completion is confirmed

Completion uses the arrival code given at the start and the poster’s confirmation at the end. If there is a concern, raise it within 48 hours so support can review the task record.

7. If the service cannot be delivered

  • Nobody accepts: the task expires and can be revised and posted again.
  • The helper cancels: the task can return to the list for someone else or be closed.
  • Nobody is at the address: the helper reports it and support reviews the task record.
  • The task is unsafe or prohibited: it is cancelled and the account may be reviewed.
  • The work is unsatisfactory: raise a dispute within 48 hours.

8. Task records

Helpora keeps a record of acceptance, arrival, completion and support action. See the Terms & Conditions for platform rules.
