Prohibited Tasks & Acceptable Use

• Any task that breaks Indian law: including theft, trespass, fraud, forgery, or helping someone evade the law.
• Tasks intended to harass, stalk or intimidate anyone: including following a person or delivering threatening messages.
• Tasks involving stolen, counterfeit or smuggled goods: or goods whose origin cannot be explained.

• No purchase, transport or delivery of alcohol, tobacco, nicotine products, drugs or any controlled substance: regardless of who it is for.
• No prescription medicines without a valid prescription: and never controlled or scheduled drugs.

• No firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks or bladed weapons: including buying, carrying or storing them.
• No hazardous chemicals, industrial gases or flammable materials: beyond ordinary household products used normally.

• No injections, dressings, catheters, physiotherapy or any nursing procedure.:
• No diagnosis, medical advice or administering medicines to another person.:
• No accompanying someone as a medical attendant.: Collecting medicines from a chemist with a valid prescription is allowed; anything clinical is not.

• No handling another person's valuables: including collecting, depositing, withdrawing or carrying valuables for them.
• No use of another person's debit card, credit card, cheque book, net banking or UPI: under any circumstances.
• Never share or ask for an OTP, PIN or banking password.: No genuine Helpora task requires one, except the arrival code, which you give in person at your door.
• No investment, lending, debt collection or funds-transfer tasks.:

If anyone asks you for an OTP or banking credential during a task, stop and report it immediately at contact@helpora.app.

• Electrical mains work: meter boards, main lines, new wiring circuits. Changing a bulb or a plug top is fine.
• Gas fitting and cylinder installation: including pipeline work.
• Structural or civil work: walls, beams, waterproofing, major plumbing lines.
• Legal, financial, legal or immigration advice: including preparing filings on someone's behalf.
• Driving another person's vehicle: unless a specific, insured arrangement exists.

These need licensed professionals. Helpora does not verify trade licences, so we do not allow the work.

• No unsupervised sole care of a child or a dependent adult.: Helping with homework or accompanying someone on an errand, with a family member's knowledge, is allowed.
• No personal or medical care: bathing, feeding by tube, mobility transfers, medication management.

Absolutely prohibited. Any task that is, implies, or leads to sexual services, or that requests nudity or sexual content, results in immediate permanent removal and, where required, a report to the authorities.

• Nothing that risks serious injury: working at height without equipment, entering tanks or sewers, handling live wires.
• Nothing degrading or humiliating.: Helpers are neighbours, not servants.
• No task with discriminatory conditions: based on caste, religion, gender, region, language, disability or age.
• No manual scavenging or any work prohibited under Indian law.:

• Keep all task arrangements on Helpora.: This preserves a shared record for both sides.
• No impersonation or fake profiles.: One person, one verified account.
• No fake tasks, fake ratings or manipulated reviews.:
• No collecting other users' personal details for any purpose beyond the task.:
• No advertising, recruiting or soliciting for other services through tasks or chat.:

1. The task is removed as soon as we become aware of it.
2. The task is closed and support records the outcome.
3. A warning for a first, minor, clearly unintentional breach.
4. Suspension while we investigate anything serious or repeated.
5. Permanent removal for serious breaches: safety, fraud, harassment, discrimination, adult services or financial misuse.
6. Reporting to the authorities where the law requires it, or where someone is at risk.

Decisions can be appealed through our Grievance Redressal process.

Use the Report option on the task screen, or write to contact@helpora.app with the task reference and what happened. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 112 first, then tell us. Also read our Community Guidelines for the behaviour we expect from everyone.
