Cancellation & Task Resolution Policy

Last updated: Aug 2026 · Applies to Helpora Pvt. Ltd. and the Helpora platform.

Helpora Pvt. Ltd. operates a technology platform that connects neighbours for everyday tasks. We act as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Helpers are independent individuals who use the platform, and are not employees or agents of Helpora. This document applies to your use of the Helpora website and app, is governed by the laws of India, and the English version prevails wherever it is translated.

This policy explains how to cancel a task, report a problem and ask Helpora to review an outcome.

1. Before a helper accepts

You can cancel an open task from the task screen. The task closes immediately and is no longer shown to nearby helpers.

2. After a helper accepts

Cancel from the task screen and give a clear reason. The platform notifies the helper and records the cancellation so our support team can review repeated or disruptive behaviour.

3. If the helper cancels

You can reopen the task for another verified neighbour or close it. Repeated cancellations may affect a helper’s trust score.

4. If nobody accepts

The task expires automatically. You can revise the timing, location or description and post it again.

5. If the task is incomplete or unsatisfactory

Do not mark the task complete. Raise a dispute within 48 hours and share relevant chat messages, photos and details.

Our support team reviews the task record, may contact both users and can recommend completion, a re-do or another fair resolution.

6. How to request help

Open the task and choose “Raise a dispute”, or contact contact@helpora.app with your task reference. You can also call +91 96666 46106 during 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST, Monday to Saturday.

7. Escalation

If the first response does not resolve your concern, use the process on the Grievance Redressal page.
