Grievance Redressal
Last updated: Aug 2026 · Applies to Helpora Pvt. Ltd. and the Helpora platform.
Helpora Pvt. Ltd. operates a technology platform that connects neighbours for everyday tasks. We act as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Helpers are independent individuals who use the platform, and are not employees or agents of Helpora. This document applies to your use of the Helpora website and app, is governed by the laws of India, and the English version prevails wherever it is translated.
Helpora Pvt. Ltd. ("Helpora", "we", "us", "our"), which operates the Helpora platform, has appointed a Grievance Officer as required under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If something has gone wrong and normal support has not fixed it, this is the formal route.
1. Grievance Officer
- Name: Uday Pavan
- Email: contact@helpora.app
- Postal address: Helpora Pvt. Ltd., Andhra Pradesh, India
- Hours: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST, Monday to Saturday
2. What to include in your complaint
The more of this you can give us, the faster we can decide:
- Your name and the phone number registered with Helpora.
- The task reference number, and the date and time of the task.
- What happened, in your own words, in order.
- What you would like us to do: a resolution, action on an account, correction of your data, or something else.
- Any photos, screenshots or receipts that support what you're describing.
- Whether you have already contacted support, and what you were told.
Write in English, Hindi or your preferred Indian language. We will get it translated.
3. Our timelines
- Acknowledgement within 24 hours of receiving your complaint, with a reference number.
- Resolution within 15 days of acknowledgement. If a matter genuinely needs longer (for instance, when an external service provider or the police are involved), we tell you why and give you a revised date.
- Safety complaints are treated as urgent and reviewed the same day.
- Data-protection requests under the DPDP Act are answered within the period the law requires.
4. Levels of escalation
- Level 1: Support. Raise it in the app, write to contact@helpora.app or call +91 96666 46106 during 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST, Monday to Saturday. Most task and support issues are settled here.
- Level 2: Grievance Officer. If support has not resolved it, or you are not satisfied with the outcome, write to Uday Pavan quoting your original reference number.
5. Safety emergencies: do not use this process
If anyone is in immediate danger, call 112, India's emergency number, first.
Then use the emergency button in the app, which also alerts your saved emergency contacts, and call us on +91 96666 46106. Safety reports jump the queue and are reviewed the same day.
6. Complaints about your personal data
For access, correction, erasure, nomination or withdrawal of consent, see the rights section of our Privacy Policy. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India under the DPDP Act, 2023.
7. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in this process limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. You may approach the National Consumer Helpline or the appropriate District, State or National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. We would rather resolve it here first. It is usually faster for everyone.
