Helpora is a small team working on an unglamorous, genuinely useful problem: getting small jobs done safely between people who live near each other.
How we hire
Four steps, no games, a decision in two weeks.
1. You write to us
A short note about what you've built or done, and why this problem interests you. A CV is welcome but not the point.
2. A conversation
Thirty to forty minutes with someone on the team. What you want to work on, and what we're actually doing.
3. A practical exercise
A small piece of real work, scoped to a few hours. If it takes longer than that, we pay for your time.
4. Meet the team
A working session with the people you'd sit with, then a clear yes or no, usually within two weeks of the first note.
What we look for
People who talk to users, and then fix things.
- You care about the person on the other side of the screen: often someone's parent, on a mid-range phone, in their second language.
- You'd rather ship a small thing that works this week than a large thing that might work next quarter.
- You take safety and trust seriously, because both matter in every neighbourhood.
- You can write clearly. Most of our decisions live in writing.
