How do I sign up?

With your phone number and a one-time code. To accept tasks as a helper, you also complete government-ID (Aadhaar) verification and a live selfie check.

Who are these helpers?

People who live near you. Everyone is phone-verified, and anyone accepting a task has completed Aadhaar-based identity verification and a live selfie check. Every profile shows a 0–100 trust score, badges and reviews from other neighbours.

How fast can someone reach me?

Most tasks in an active neighbourhood are accepted within minutes, and the helper is usually a short walk away. We don't guarantee a time. It depends on who is free near you right now. Clear timing and task details help nearby people decide quickly.

What if nobody accepts my task?

The task expires automatically. You can update the timing or details and post it again.

How should I describe a task?

Include the location, timing, expected effort, useful photos and anything the helper should bring. Clear details help the right neighbour respond.

Can I have the same task repeat?

Yes. Tasks can repeat daily, weekly or monthly: the school run, Sunday groceries, the weekly clean.

You see the helper's profile, trust score and reviews when they accept. If you're not comfortable, you can cancel from the task screen before they arrive.

What can't I post?

Anything illegal or unsafe, anything needing a licence we don't verify, medical tasks, handling someone's valuables or OTPs, and a few other things listed on our Prohibited Tasks page. Please read it before posting something unusual.

How do I find tasks?

Once verified, you can see available tasks near you and review the scope, timing and location before choosing whether to accept.

Am I an employee of Helpora?

No. Helpers are independent neighbours who choose their own tasks and hours. Helpora Pvt. Ltd. operates the platform; it does not employ helpers or perform the services itself.

Do I have to accept every task I see?

Not at all. Accept only what fits your skills and day. Repeatedly cancelling after acceptance can affect your trust score.

What if the task is bigger than described?

Pause and update the task in the app, or cancel and report it if the description was misleading. Do not take on work you cannot complete safely.

How do you verify people?

Phone verification for everyone, plus government-ID (Aadhaar) verification and a live selfie check before anyone can accept a task.

Is my Aadhaar data safe?

Verification is carried out through an authorised partner. We retain the verification result and a masked reference where permitted. We do not store full Aadhaar numbers, and we never use Aadhaar data for anything other than confirming identity.

What is the arrival code?

A short one-time code you give the helper at your door. Without it, they cannot start the task, so nobody can claim work was started or finished when they never arrived.

Can I see the helper on the way?

Yes. Once your task is accepted you can follow their location on a map with an ETA, until the task ends.

What if I terml unsafe during a task?

Use the in-app emergency button, which reaches your saved emergency contacts and India's 112 number. Then report the person from the task screen so we can act on the account.

Does my society security know who is coming?

For gated societies, an accepted task can generate a digital gate pass showing who is visiting, for whom and when.

Do I have to share my phone number?

No. Everything is coordinated in a private one-to-one chat inside the app, including photos and directions.

Will you send me WhatsApp messages, and how do I stop them?

You'll receive transactional messages about your tasks (accepted, on the way, arrival code, task and support confirmations) over WhatsApp, SMS, email or push. Promotional messages are sent only if you opt in. To stop them, reply STOP on WhatsApp, use the unsubscribe link in any email, change your in-app notification settings, or write to [SUPPORT EMAIL].

What data do you keep about me?

Account details, verification status, task history, chat records, task records and location while a task is active. Our Privacy Policy explains each category, why we keep it and for how long.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Ask in the app or write to [SUPPORT EMAIL]. Some records must be retained for the period the law requires.
