Helpora

How it works

From 'I need this done' to 'that's done', in a few taps.

Most people end up on both sides of Helpora: asking for help one week, earning the next. Here is exactly what happens, step by step.

Posting a task

You stay in control of the task and access to your home at every step.

  1. 1

    Describe it, add photos

A line or two is enough. A photo of the dripping tap or the shopping list saves everyone a conversation.

  2. 2

Set your location on the map

Drop the pin on your building or gate. Only the neighbour who accepts sees the exact address.

  3. 3

    Set the scope and timing

Describe the scope and timing clearly. If it is time-sensitive, say so in the task details.

  4. 4

    Confirm and publish the task

Review the details, then publish the task for nearby verified helpers to see.

  5. 5

    A verified neighbour accepts

You see their trust score, badges and reviews before they set off. Often this happens within minutes.

  6. 6

    Chat and track them live

Coordinate in the app, with photos, without sharing your phone number. Watch them approach with an ETA.

  7. 7

Give the arrival code at your door

Work can only start once you hand over your short code. Nobody can mark a task started without you.

  8. 8

Confirm completion and rate each other

When the agreed work is done, confirm completion. You both leave a rating.

If it goes wrong

What if something doesn't go to plan?

Most tasks are simple and finish well. When they don't, here's the path out.

You need to cancel

Cancel in the app. Before anyone accepts, it closes immediately. After acceptance, the cancellation is recorded because someone has already set aside their time.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

The job wasn't done properly

Don't approve it. Raise a dispute in the app within the review window. Our team looks at the chat, photos and both accounts, and helps both sides agree on completion, a re-do or another fair outcome.

How disputes are decided

Someone behaved badly

Report the person from the task screen. Serious reports get a warning, a suspension or a permanent ban. In an emergency, use the in-app emergency contacts, including 112.
